On  20 September 2007 twenty civic minded men & women gathered to form Lions Club of Nedimala. This club was extended by Lions Club of Piliyandala and was chartered on 18th January 2007.  Our club comprises a smaller, very diverse group of young professionals who are willing and anxious to give his/her time, energy and resources in service to others. Our mission is to serve the needs of our community through a wide range of volunteer projects. We enjoy working to better the lives and well-being of all people in our community through various charitable projects. With 1.35 million members serving in more than 45,000 clubs in over 200 countries and geographical areas, Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization.
